Avast tip popup

How do I stop those annoying avast tip popups. I have ticked off everything and still get them.Is there a trick to this
Or is it right under my nose and cant see it?

Short answer is no, the tip/ad popups continue even with the community features option suggest by Bob unchecked.

I know this because I have had them disabled for ages, from the first arrival of the Like thumbs, etc. on the interface.

These popups are piggybacked onto the auto update notifications, disable that popup and you won't get these either. Unfortunately there is another bug and that is the duration of the various popups, reducing the duration doesn't appear to work, they stay there for ages.

David is correct as I've just found out after making the changes, I just received the following :

It stayed there for the full 20 seconds (an eternity)

Well i just use my mouse to click it away.5 seconds at the most. ;D.(Not such an eternity.). ;)
