No warning what so ever other than the zip drive light flashing as if I just
put a disk in.
Machine is constantly updating on it's own.
Running XP Home, I have not updated the bios and have had the unit
now for over 2 years.
I will try that to see if it resolves that issue.
It will run for a long time some times all day but if I do a thorough
virus scan that just kills it.
It could, of course, be caused by many different things.. . but I would try the
bios update. I used to work in a laptop support dept and we saw this problem
with Toshiba's quite often. The bios update always cured it.... its worth a try
edit: I do not want to sound as though I believe this is the only problem
You mention you have several trojans and worms? I would also use Google
and check on the specific trojans/worms you have and see what you can find
out about them.. Probably not a bad idea to allso run Spybot, Ad Aware, and
HiJack This as well
