Two instances of rundll32.exe [SOLVED]
« on: September 26, 2013, 01:14:28 PM »
I did a lot of googleing this time and the results came up mixed so here I am. I noticed that I have two versions of rundll32 running in the task manager (one is the normal rundll32 and the other is rundll32*32 and leads to syswow) So I sent the odd one through Virus Total and it came up clean however the comments said it was clean and the reviews were extremely negative. After searching I also got conflicting results some saying it's a normal process and others saying the only rundll32 is in System32. I'm confused so if you can help, thanks. Also for some extra info I'm running a 64 bit operating system and apparently syswow is used to run said 32bit files which makes me think this is normal however I really don't know.

In this forum, it would be better to recommend a paid version of avast! :)
