"move to chest" doesnt work

I found some viruses on my computer, a trojan and it said: recommended action "move to chest" and when I do that it says: Virus chest its not running.

What do I have to do?

I opened the chest and I found:

Initialization of Chest files

Action was completed with errors!

Program cannot use Chest client: (null)
--->Description: Virus chest server is not running. RPC communication failed.

I thankfull for all help!

Are you running another AV with avast?
Have you ever had another AV installed and if so what and how did you remove it?

Try a repair of avast. Add Remove programs, avast! Anti-Virus, Change/Remove button and scroll down to Repair, click next and follow. You need to be on-line to do this.
If that doesn't work try, uninstall, reboot, install, reboot.

I didn't realize you had to be online to do a repair--this is gettng interesting now--even though it didnt help my particular problem--COOL--
