Where is my blocked mail
« on: October 08, 2013, 06:42:01 PM »
I got a fully trusted mail, with a fully secure attachment. There is absolutely no reason to block it.
Avast decided to block it.
Anyway, where is the mail gone. I want it back. I cannot tell my customer, he cannot send me mails because avast decides to block them without any reason.

How can you tell the mail is trusted and the attachment is not infected if you haven't seen them?
What os are you using?
What version of avast are you using?
What vps version?
What is avast telling you if you try to look at that email?
What is telling you the customers system is not infected?
What email client are you using?
etc etc etc.

Keep in mind that we can not see what is happening on your system, so you have to provide information.

How can you tell the mail is trusted and the attachment is not infected if you haven't seen them?
Because it was sent by a colleague, and it is exactly the file I requested.
By the way, I am a software developer, and the executables I develop are blocked also the moment I create them, and I really trust my own code ;)

What os are you using?
Windows 7 64 Bit

What version of avast are you using?
avast Free Antivirus
8.0.1489

What vps version?
???
Virus database: 131008-0

What is avast telling you if you try to look at that email?
That is the problem, the email is not to find, there is only an avast infomail, that does not tell me, how to get my mail
Content of mail
[avast! Heuristik - WARNUNG]
Verdächtige Erweiterung im Anhang
 * filename

Absender:   email
Empfänger:   email
Betreff:  ********

What is telling you the customers system is not infected?
The file was sent after a human communication with expected content.
The customer has a very strict security policy.
It is a heuristic warning, just like avast considers my own programs to be dangerous, and blocks them from me.

What email client are you using?
Thunderbird 17.0.8

etc etc etc.

I only want to know, how to find the mail and get it out of there.
