I can confirm that the issue still remains with the new version 2014.9.0.2008.

Google Android Studio can not connect to its "gradle daemon" process while Avast Firewall is active.

I have the same problems with: Glassfish 4, Maven, Tomcat 7 using Eclipse, Netbeans, IntelliJIDEA or the command line under Win8.1 64bit.
java.io.IOException: Unable to establish loopback connection.
Java JDK 7.45 64bit
Avast 2014.9.0.2008

Under Linux there is no problem and no Avast!

Can't use the Gradle --daemon option:

>gradle build --daemon

FAILURE: Build failed with an exception.

* Try:
Run with --stacktrace option to get the stack trace. Run with --info or --debug option to get more log output.
