Network has Yellow Triangle with Exclamation Point
« on: November 22, 2013, 04:13:35 AM »
I have three computers here all doing this, two are wired, one is wireless, there doesn't appear to be any shared reason other then avast.  It updated on each of them within the last week to the latest version, one computer is Win 7 Pro, one is Ultimate, and the final one is Home Premium.  They all have this yellow triangle with an exclamation point on the network icon in the tray.  However if disable avast then disable and re-enable the network adapter i can get the triangle to disappear.  However i then re-enable avast and it may take a minute, it may take an hour, but that triangle will come back as long as avast is running.

All three computers are up to date, latest drivers, etc etc...

When the triangle is on the network icon i still have a working connection to the internet and my local network, so it appears that avast just breaks the icon functions somehow?

hi kb0nly,

You updated how and from what version of avast!?  Any prior a/v's other than avast! ever installed and then uninstalled?

What is the current version?  Free, Pro, AIS, Premier? 8.0, 9.0, 2014?  Old version?

Removal guide for other a/v's here:  http://www.avast.com/faq.php?article=AVKB11#artTitle
