Wi:Fi and GPS settings.
« on: November 20, 2013, 12:32:12 PM »
I have avast anti-theft installed on both my phone and my partners phone. Both exactly the same phones and as far as i can tell has all the same settings. Neither of the phones are rooted. While testing some of the features, I noticed that when I send a locate command, my phone's GPS and wi:fi turn on and her's doesn't. The difference being 30 Meters accurate and  775 Meters accurate. This could mean the difference between tracking down the phone and not. Cant seem to figure out why.

Hello,

if the settings and the phone are the same we have three options:

- you have a different android version (newer android versions need a rooted device to turn on GPS automatically)
- the phone using GPS is lying next to a window
- the phone where it doesn't work is damaged or uses some other tool that interferes with our app.

hard to tell from the distance.

one more thing: it's also importaint that tracking is a lot more accurate if an internet connection is available.

regards,

Werner
