I have Avast on both my laptop and android mobile phone.
When I connect my mobile phone to my laptop, it works for a few seconds then after less than a minute, it'll get disconnected. As if it's unplugged.
I have experienced this same problem when I have ESET 6 on my laptop.
First I uninstalled Avast on my mobile phone, plugged it on my laptop and got DC again after a few seconds. This time, I disabled Avast shields on my laptop, plugged my mobile phone on my laptop and no more disconnection. After enabling Avast shields again, disconnection starts to occur.
Currently, when I copy files between my laptop and mobile phone, I have to disable Avast shields on my laptop to make it a successful copy. Otherwise, copying of files will not continue when it gets disconnected.
Anyone else experience the same problem? I haven't got this problem on Avast 8, when I have Win 7 installed. Right now, I'm using Win 8.1 and Avast 2014 (9.0.2008). But I have experienced this same DC problem before when I was using ESET 6 (on Win 7) and ESET 7 (on Win 8 ).
I wonder why I'm having DC problems on my mobile phone when shields are active.
