2014.9.0.2008 Slow Shutdown on Vista

Hi everyone,

Yesterday my PC updated to 2014.09.0.2008.

Now, with Avast running my shutdown time is several minutes, if I turn Avast off my PC shuts down normally at about 30 seconds.

I don't know anything about computers but I had a look at Event Monitor and it seems to show Avast being incredibly busy
at shutdown time, with about 25 warnings one after the other.

I can't find any other threads about this problem so I thought I'd try to be the first to mention it.

Are you able to send us a process dump of AvastSvc.exe during shutdown?

HI I am also having this issue as well the last few nights I have shut my computer down it happened really fast but last night when the computer shutdown it took forever it took so long I finally just went to bed and let the computer shut itself down.  I should say this though it took probably 5-10 minutes at most.  I hope this gets fixed soon let me now if you want logs or anything let me now.

Hi There,
I am having the same problem.  Vista Ultimate and with Paid Avast running shutdown takes a very long time.

With Avast disable computer shuts down right away..  How can I fix this?
