SMS Filter not working on 4.4

It does show in the avast log as being blocked but it is still showing up in Hangouts and a notification is still appearing.

And there is a notification for hangout or SMS? Which KitKat do you have?

I have 4.4 now.  4.4.2 will be arriving shortly.  The notification is a Hangout looking icon in the notification bar.  If I had sound turned on it would also make the notification sound.

Hi,

Google unfortunatelly "fixed" the SMS stuff in KitKat in a way that it effectivelly broke all 3rd party SMS blocking/filter apps. There might be some workarounds, but we hadn't really had time to look at it and as far as we know there isn't any SMS blocking app working on KitKat at the moment.

Yea, I see that a lot of them are having problems.  aFirewall now has their blocker working in KitKat.

Is there a good reason this is still not fixed in 4.4.2? It has been months and apparently other applications have already fixed this.
