avastsvc.exe behaviour in netstat
« on: December 29, 2013, 08:49:38 PM »
Hi :

[/url]

Why are there ports forwarded with established connections between Avastsvc.exe (also nvstreamsvc.exe and chrome.exe) and "tumblr" ?

Is there anything suspect here ?

Thanks for your explanations

All Internet traffic goes through avastsvc.

Chrome is a suspect, but rather than guess, I would recommend running a full scan with Malwarebytes.

Tumblr is a social networking site.

"nvstreamsvc.exe" is the NVIDIA Streamer Service, which is part of NVIDIA Shield (lots of info online via Google).

As mentioned before, all Internet traffic goes through avastsvc, so it appears nvstreamsvc is the culprit.

I would still recommend downloading Malwarebytes free and running a Full Scan.
