I´ve sent you an email with 2 gif files for "common" configurations.
If you read the help topic Manual Configuration of Internet Mail I´m sure you´ll get it. The text is long and technical but I think you can handle it with easy  ;D

Remember that some providers need SMTP authentication and avast! could found some troubles to handle it... I have some SMTP servers that works but not so "fast" as the others (out of connection). Maybe you can send your configuration for the avast! team and they could say something...  :(

mantra,

The only advice I can offer at the moment until I sort out the posts on this subject, is for you to make sure that when you run the Email Wizard, you check "Protect all my present and future accounts".

Outlook Express works just fine with the Avast Mail Protection.  There isn't any special configuration needed.

From your screenshots, the settings seem to be correct.

How many accounts are you trying to configure?

Manual configuration takes some time as Technical pointed out.

My Spanish is a bit rusty, but from your post, the error message is telling you that the SMTP authentication failed...connection could not be established with the end server....which points to configuration settings for the email.  Check to insure that the POP3 is using Port 25 and the SMTP set to Port 110.

Are you running any other programs that might be tapping Port 25???  By this I mean.....Is any other program trying to use Port 25 at the time Avast needs to use it???  Shut down all unnecessary programs (Ctl-Alt-Del) and then try the email again.  If that works, then you have to reconfigure the Ports that Avast uses.
There are posts in the forum on manually resetting the ports.

Good Luck,
techie ;)

mantra,

That's great.  Glad I could help.  Sometimes, we all can overlook the obvious solution.

A mistake is only another learning experience!
