Registration Key not processing

I've been trying to follow the instructions about updating my key.  I have a new one, but when I enter it into the License key block, nothing happens.  I have completely uninstalled and reinstalled the program with a fresh download, but it seems to have kept the old key which has expired.  How come it won't accept the new key?

Tried the uninstall utility for Avast? Try this and re-install again.

Have you copied key or entered it by hands? If you are entering by hands dont forget insert "-" and feel diferences between 0 (zero) and O (letter).
