update
« on: January 11, 2014, 05:17:23 AM »
I got an update-memo from my anti-virus program; I rarely have problems with them but when I "updated", it affected my computer to the point I had to run a System Restore action. So I hope others who use and enjoy Avast (free version) will be aware of possible corruption...especially AVAST! C'mon you guys; please work out the bugs; I'm not going to update as long as that problem exists. I'll use another free program, of which there are many.

Without explaining your system details and what problems you had when updating then your post is rather pointless.

Most issues can be solved with a clean install, especially when upgrading from a different versions as so much of the internal workings change compared to build changes.
