What exactly do you mean, "wouldn't disable"?

Hi Igor

This happens when disabling the web shield

Avast crashes and the only way to fix it is to reboot the machine.

Noticed the issue since the latest Windows updates for Jan 2014. Might be connected to this bug?

The most common way all the shields are disabled are through the tray icon, that way works fine in 9.0.2012..

The way you mentioned I'll have through avast! UI > Settings > Active Protection > [disable] web shield works fine for me in the BETA.

It's most likely you have a corrupt install and need to a clean install.
Windows 10 Home 64-bit • Avast Free (latest stable version) •  Malwarebytes 4 Premium (On-Demand) • Windows Firewall Control • Google Chrome • LastPass • CCleaner • O&O ShutUp10 •

Did a clean install of Avast and Windows...the problem is still active

Not herd anything back from Avast...Not sure what to do. Considering switching to an alternative until Avast can fix the web shield.

Ok looks like someone else has this problem. I'm going to continue the post in the beta forum as it seems this is the right place for posting the problem.
