cards410.exe in windows/system32
« on: June 23, 2005, 07:07:57 PM »
Avast is flaging this file as a virus every time I open a new program on my computer. Each time I select 'Delete'.

I've marked the checkbox that offers to delete it on next boot.

Has anybody every heard of this file before? I Googled on it and came up blank.

- What OS are you using?
If you have XP schedule a boot-time scam from within avast.
- What avast! version and VPS file (virus database) number, e.g. 0436-4 (see about avast!)
- What was the virus name?
- What actions have you taken to try and resolve the problem?
- Did you receive and error mesages, if so what were they?

The fact that nothing comes up on google makes it more suspicious to me.

You could also check the offending/suspect file at: Jotti - Multi engine on-line virus scanner if any other scanners here detect them it is less likely to be a false positive.
Windows 10 Home 64bit/ Acer Aspire F15/ Intel Core i5 7200U 2.5GHz, 8GB DDR4 memory, 256GB SSD, 1TB HDD/ avast! free 24.4.6112 (build 24.4.9067.762) UI 1.0.803/ Firefox, uBlock Origin, uMatrix/ MailWasher Pro/ Avast! Mobile Security
