Could you check if you have any files in that folder
C:\Windows\Minidump\

If you do, could you upload them to ftp.avast.com/incoming (use some FTP clientl like http://filehippo.com/download_filezilla/)

This would give devs idea about what might be causing this issue. What was your previous antivirus?

Avast! on another pc i used bitdefender however here i have only ever used avast! as my main av. I have Microsoft security essentials. The log files are in my first post i generated them using bluescreenviewer and i think they will be sufficient as doing what your saying seems too tedious.

You have avast and Microsoft Security Essentials running together ?

Turn MSE off, the 2 apps will conflict.

I can confirm what AdrianH said.
Turn mse off.
Also perform a clean install of avast after that:
1. Download Avastclear, Rejzors uninstall tool and the appropriate Avast program edition

Note : You need to be ONLINE during the install (sometimes online installer works whereas offline doesn't)

http://files.avast.com/iavs9x/avast_free_antivirus_setup_online.exe
http://files.avast.com/iavs9x/avast_pro_antivirus_setup_online.exe
http://files.avast.com/iavs9x/avast_internet_security_setup_online.exe
http://files.avast.com/iavs9x/avast_premier_antivirus_setup_online.exe

Avastclear : http://files.avast.com/iavs9x/avastclear.exe
Rejzors Uninstall tool: http://rejzor.wordpress.com/avast-cleanup-tool/

2. Uninstall Avast by control panel  [If you don't have Avast in control Panel go to #4]
3. Uninstall in safe mode using Avastclear.
4. Run Rejzors Uninstall Utility in Normal Mode (removes traces avastclear doesn't) - reboot.
5. Install the version you downloaded.
6. Reboot.

Take your time.
Better slow and thorough than fast and sorry.
The "htmlayout.dll can't be loaded" is a indication of a corrupted install.

It isnt a memory issue cos i did all the tests. sfc /scannow says 100% verification so that isnt a problem. It only happens when i click on safezone.

Sorry but even disabled there are still low level active drivers that can conflict, no AV must be installed with avast whether running or not.

The other programs are fine as they are not AV's, though SAS and MBAM would be the only ones worth keeping out of them imo :)

sfc has nothing to do with memory.

HitmanPro? Remove it right away.
"Software producer Lavasoft was in discussion with Mr. Loman over changes to the program before granting any official permission to implement their software and McAfee says they did not grant permission and claim no knowledge at all of the program"

"HitmanPro 3 also requires a license key to remove malware found on a user's computer, however it does offer a free 30-day trial, which does not let you remove any files identified"
