MIME FORMAT
« on: June 18, 2005, 02:47:02 PM »
I am receiving certain mails from a sender which my gmail client says is in MIME format and the messages/attachments are not readable. I have tried viewing messages in ie, opera, maxthon with the same result. Maxthon however points out that there are RSS feeds and I should subscribe, but on clicking the link, the download fails.
The sender confirms having sent those messages in doc format and that some virus is responsible.
I have avast 4.6.665 (0524-6) installed.
What is this MIME Format?
Can anyone help me on this issue?Mails sent by others so far are OK

MIME (Multipurpose Internet Mail Extensions)
It's an encoding method for email messages. Use mail client to read the file.
