Win32Rootkit-gen (Rtk)

Running a scan in Avast I found this Virus and put it in the chest. Everybody is now telling me this will not really get rid of it so what do I do. Please help. Not very technical Subo

Well they are wrong..... files in chest are in virus prison and nothing have access exept avast

Hi. This particular virus I am told mutates and may lay dormant for a time before activating. I am told that if I was qualified I would need to go into the registry to find all the codes!!!!This is all foreign to me. Subo

if it is a malware check you want, then follow the guide Asyn gave link to....
when done a malware expert will check the logs for infection, and help you remove it if any is found
