Windows XP vs. Vista
«

My computer came with Vista 64 bit. I downgraded to XP. Now I don't know if I should upgrade to Vista because XP won't be supported. I've been happy with XP and would rather not change.
My question is: Will Avast protect us if we use XP?
Thanks.

Avast will still officially support XP after MS discontinues support, in fact most AV will. Does that mean you are actually secure? that's up to debate...
Edit:

That site probably has the best advice I have read about using XP after april. Pay attention especially to standard accounts, and EMET. Some of the advice will inconvenience the typical user, but I think it is well worth the inconvenience if you decide to continue to use XP for whatever reason.
