GerTzu,

Any chance you recently did a BIOS upgrade ?
I ask because one of the causes of this error is wrong setting in BIOS for SATA HDDs.....AHCI vs IDE settings.
I'm NOT the expert here.....Machiavelli is....wait for his guidance......just giving some ideas is all.
Similar thread on the subject with a HP DV6 too: http://www.911cd.net/forums/lofiversion/index.php/t24479.html

Thekochs, thank you. Ill take al look to this thread.

After several times trying to use Recovery Manager (F11 from bios), now it seems to be working...hard to explain...the system was too slow....Works!! :D I am login my session now.

It takes aproximatelly 1 hour to recover...after several failled tries...

No, I dindn`t any BIos update.

Thanks to Machiavelli and to everyone that make this Forum a very powerfull tool to solve our issues.

Now Im gonna sleep.... :D

PS: the only thing that happened the day before the crash, was a malfuctioning of the touch pad....is it possible?? Any question...I ll be in touch

It depends.....did you recently update the driver for the touchpad or perhaps you did a driver update download from some HP software that may have included this driver ?  I only say this because a quick google shows a lot of BSOD issues with new touch pad driver for HP DV6.

Anyway, good to hear you are back in Windows.
If this was my machine I would do this in this order.......

1) Backup all important data/personal files to USB HDD
2) If you have HDD imaging software run a image and capture on external HDD
3) If you have W7 System Restore enabled I'd create a manual restore point.....if not, enable system restore and create point.
4) I'd do a "clean" uninstall of Avast9 on this PC.
    Here is how-to thread: http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=143284.0
5) BEFORE I did a re-install of Avast9 I'd do a chkdsk c: /r from command prompt.
6) Install Avast9
