Firewall does not work on one of my computers

I have 2 computers so I will designate them C1 & C2.   I have Windows 7 on C1 and XP on C2 with Avast Internet Security  working on both.

Avast works well on C1, but the firewall does not work on C2.   It did work originally, but failed recently.   

I have tried pressing the "Fix now" and the "Resolve all" buttons but nothing happens.

The software and virus definitions are up to date.

Any assistance will be appreciated.

Repair the installation.

Start> Control Panel > Programs and Features > Avast> Uninstall/Change > Select "Repair" .

I was having the same problem, but I just did what you suggested and that immediately sorted my problem.  Thanks!

Although I must say this ....... when I phoned up Avast they told me that inspite of my 3 month old Computer performing really well and Avast Full System Scan coming up CLEAN with 0 infections ........ that my computer was corrupted and I must pay them £129 to fix the problem!!!

I thought that Avast no longer had iyogi dealing with their customers!?!   Very concerning!!

It is not iYogi...... dont know what it is now but from the complaints it seems just as bad
