Preventing Avast extension in Google Chrome

Every time I reboot the Avast extension reinstalls itself on my copy of Google Chrome (dev version). I know what I'm doing when I search the web. I don't need the extension to tell me whats safe to view and I want to keep Avast from installing the extension.

How do I go about doing that?

You must disable the extension in avast settings, not just disable/delete it in the browser.

Hello,
  open Avast application and select a "Web reputation" item in a left sidebar.
