I'm not sure if this is the free avast forum, or the paid for, or if there's a difference. Anyway. I'm posting here, so maybe you can help me?
I'm a long time Avast user. I purchase a 2 year license which recently ran out, so I renewed it yesterday. Since then, the only way I could run my internet is if I have 'internet sharing' checked in the Avast Firewall settings. I do not, and have not ever used another type of virus or firewall program on my lap top, so I don't know what the deal is. The only other way to get my internet working is to disable avast completely (which btw, the connection is 5x faster than with sharing enabled).
I've tried 'repairing' Avast. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling it. Nothing fixes it
