you can disable the alerts

You can't disable the update or renewal notifications from the image you posted, that allows you to lower the duration it appears and 0 'zero' doesn't disable it. One, 1, is the lowest accepted value, 0 is ignored.
You can disable the update notifications from the Settings, Updates section. But in all honesty that is a sledge hammer to crack a nut as Bob said easiest to renew.
I also don't believe the renewal notifications are linked to the update notifications so my suggestion may not work either.
I agree it doesn't make sense to disable the protection updates that you have paid for and I also believe that its a pop up thats unrelated to the updates.
This is a real dampener on Avast to use these type of tactics. And even a bigger one that there isn't a simple option to disable the annoying renewal message. OK we get the message > tick here. We have used Avast for years.
I fully understand that a single reminder is a good idea and that Avast would like to retain business from their customers (you know the 80/20 rule at all that) but when you are a business owner of a number of computers these daily bombardments are not funny.
Its been said a couple of times in this thread to just renew. Well of course we all could all do that easy peasy but why should we have to renew before the end of our current purchase??
I'm currently looking at other options now for protection across all my PC's, Laptops etc which is something that I hadn't even considered until these intrusive pops started to appear. Without the harrassement I would have honestly just renewed.
And do you know the funny thing about all this is, that every time I boot one of our PC's and the annoying pop from arrives, it reminds me to seek another security software solution.
