website blocking false positive?
« on: August 06, 2014, 08:51:34 PM »
Hey guys

Today i decided i wanted to change a few audio formats for better compatibility with my mobile,

as i went to find my chosen program to do the work

Avast blocked the website with no option to go around it or continue, the only option was to report a false positive.

i wasnt about to report a site safe that i couldn't guarantee was so. its not only me i put at risk then after all.

after finding where to turn off the web protection so i could still get the program i notice that avast has confirmed that the website is safe with its handy little check mark next to the link in my search engine.

so what one is right, avast's link checker, or the app that actually blocked the website 'period'

Thanks
