Windows 7 Ultimate x64 BSOD 0x04 ASWRVRT.sys freeze
« on: August 12, 2014, 07:12:24 PM »
Hi all,
Two days ago I booted my Dell Inspriron 660 to find a blue screen with a 0x0...4 error. I cannot boot into any of the safe mode options, it gets stuck after loading aswrvrt.sys. I have tried chkdsk and sfc scan now without any luck. I am attaching my FRST log. I would really appreciate it if someone could take a look and help me identify the problem. A clean install is my very last resort. Thanks so much in advance! Please let me know if I need to submit more information. Thanks!

This may be a hard drive problem based on the error code

Download the attached fixlist.txt to the same location as FRST
Run FRST and press fix
On completion try a normal boot

If that fails then from the recovery console select command prompt and type in the following :

chkdsk c: /r
