other? i guess 8)

but if I were to remove spyware with my skills, I would delete the whole file, which is a bad thing ;D

I deleted a whole folder ( back when I first got my computer on July 2004 ) once because Norton wouldn't remove 'eZula' 8)

cheers,

tim ;)

There actually isn't any ONE favorite or best Antispyware program.
For maximum protection, a combination of several good ones are needed to keep
your system clean. Especially the ones mentioned by Eddy. :)

spyware doctor. It has so many extra features that adaware, spybot, microsof spyware don`t have! such as pop up blocker, browser guard, keylogger guard.

spyware doctor is free!

the trend micros spyware scan is very good as well!

1. Use a browser that is less suceptable to spyware/adware in the first place.
Also consider not browsing with administrator privileges, Security Tips & Tricks - DropMyRights.
2. As Eddy said use common sense in the sites you frequent, the links you click, and the stuff you download.
3. This can be backed up with reasonable tools, AdAware, Spybot S&D, Spyware blaster & Guard.
4. If all else fails, ensure you have a backup strategy, if you don't want to lose it back it up.

I havent had any spyware or adware before and i have only used spybot, lavasoft and ms antispyware. Out of those MS antispyware gets my vote.

we all know that antispywares will automatically delete GAIN publishing LLC., right?
but Spyware Doctor keeps automatically deleting Wild Tangent Game Driver that came with my pc and it won't let me recover it either...
same with Spybot it detects it as spyware it lets me restore every step though when it restores it, the game driver is null
and secretmaker like i mentioned in my other thread keeps not letting me gain a full connection to the internet... all I wanted to say

cheers ya'll 8) ;D,

tim
