Low recording audio
« on: October 29, 2014, 06:12:52 PM »
I find that the recording level is extremely low. Is there a way to increase recording level so one does not have to turn volume up all the way just to hear a faint sound.

Yes, avast employee has to code new features, sorry we did not response in a flash response. I do not understand "recording level is extremely low"; there is an API and we will only turn on the recording service - all the rest is done by your device /quality, density, voice recognition/. Many devices are recording through speaker, not the mic.

 Thank you for your response.

How can a speaker act as a mic?
A mic is a pick up device and a speaker is a delivery device.
I have been testing it out at home to see how sensitive the mic is and with it being right in front of me it's still low on playback. the phone that the app is on is a galaxy s5.

Well it does not matter, from technical point of view it is the same (and off course you can use speaker as a microphone); sorry, I will not help you more, as I say, we only using device API for taking the sound. May be you can try with another device and tell us if there is any difference? Thanks.
