UI opening after scheduled scan
« on: November 07, 2014, 01:33:48 AM »
Every time a scheduled scan finishes the UI opens to that scan type. If a Quick scan is run, then the page for Quick scan opens; same for Full scan and others.

This was first reported in 9.0.2021.2014 and a ticket was created, and avast customer support said it was a bug and would be fixed in next release. Unfortunately the problem still occurs in 10.0.2206.2014. All these are the free version running on Windows 7 x64.

Any status update from Avast could be appreciated.

Same with me........and worse it is not consistent.
I run a scan on all my PCs each morning 5am before I wake up.
The UI is open after the scan and I have to close.
However, some days it is not open....some days it is.
I have five PCs in the house and they all do this and all intermittent on when open & when closed.
As you said, this was noted as bug in 2014......V8 worked fine.
My expectation is if Avast finds a threat it stays open with the action box....if not the scheduler should run minimized and close on completion.

Not the end of the world but annoying....

Latest version of avast is 2015.10.0.2208
Check if the problem is still there.

Greetings, all,

I can report that, as of the beta version of SP1, the "UI opening after a scheduled scan" issue had NOT been corrected.  In my case with the beta, it happened with every scheduled scan except one (and, coincidentally or otherwise, the one time that the UI did not open was a full scan; all others were quick scans).

Just downloaded and installed the final version of SP1, but since it has the same version number ending in .2208 as the beta, I don't expect any change.  Will know for sure later this evening...

Regards,
Crashman

Really?  You don't have the ability to trust what someone says about something as simple as this?

Shall we expect you to ask for proof we've updated to 2015.10.0.2208 as well?

1) Being rude is uncalled for.
2) A screen shot of UI opening after a completed scan.

It's a known problem with plenty of threads on here all saying the same thing... the UI opens after a scheduled scan.  Does it on my computer too... a screenshot is unneccessary

Thank you, that's exactly what I was getting at about YOUR post.  Maybe you didn't realize what that little ? ? ? smiley icon added to it.

And, in case you didn't notice, the requested screenshot has been provided.  Or were you hoping for an animation?
