Warning while downloading a zip file from the web
« on: November 20, 2014, 06:52:50 AM »
Hello All,

I was trying to download a zip file from a web page.
When I clicked on the link to download that zip file, avast warned me with a message about a virus contained inside that zip file.
After that, I repeated the process, I clicked on the link but this time a blank web page on my browser appeared, saying that the connection
was reset.
Now, I would like to reset the condition so I can see the avast warning message when I click the link on the webpage.
How could I do that?

Thanks you

What's the website?
Please make the link a dead link using htxp or hxxp.
Dell Inspiron, Win10x64--HP Envy Win10x64--Both systems Avast Free v17.9.2322, Comodo Firewall v8.2 w/D+, MalwareBytes v3.0, OpenDNS, Super Anti-Spyware, Spyware Blaster, MCShield, Unchecky, Vivaldi Browser and, various browser security tools.
