Avast Endpoint Protection Suite Free for Public Schools and Public Libraries is the product that we have been using for 1 1/2 years at NOBLE (North of Boston Library Exchange) and we have been very satisfied with the results until recently.  For some reason Avast has been removing Deepfreeze and PCRES Client from Patron PC's.  We have found it necessary to have Deepfreeze on all Patron PC's in all the libraries that NOBLE services.  Most of these libraries also run PCRES as this is the reservation that Patron's use in order to use library PC's.  For some reason Avast now sees these two programs as unwanted applications.

We have tried to go into Avast setup and add these two programs as exclusions but to no avail.  Deepfreeze resides in Program Files\Faronics and PRRES Client resides in Program Files\Envisionware\PC Reservation.  In both cases we have tried to exclude the folder that each of these programs reside in.

So this is where we are now, we have been uninstalling Avast and reinstalling Deepfreeze and PCRES Client, do you have a suggestion that:
1. Will allow us to keep Avast on the Patron PC's thus saving time on our part and the frustration that the library staff are faced with once this, as described, starts on the Patron PC's.

Thanks
tclarke
