Avast 4.6 home on x64 proccess query
« on: September 25, 2005, 01:55:41 PM »
Hey all, v nice forum here.

Just a quick question about running avast on x64. Should the avast related processes show up as 32 bit in the task manager, or as 64 bit? 'Cause at the moment mine show as 32. Although when I looked in the help it talked about 32 & 64 bit scanning.

Any helps appreciated. Cheers.

As has been explained before on this board, it is a 32 bit application, not a 64 bit one.

Please use the search option before asking.

But avast! is the only antivirus that is running into 64 bits plataform. At least, I never read that another is doing so.

Well, we have NOD32 running in 64 BIT mode too! And KAV 2006 will also run on Win64.

will
or is already running? Like I've said, I was not sure, but avast! was the first (and the only one for a long time).
