HG612 Stats program blocked at boot up by avast.
« on: March 07, 2015, 11:55:11 AM »
I updated to the latest Avast program this morning and on boot up, Avast decided to block my HG612 modem stats monitoring program. It didnt give me the option to say it was safe. I filled out a false positive submission report. But in the meantime how do I unblock it?

Edit:

Ok, I went to the virus chest and right clicked, adding an exclusion. The exclusion appears in the exclusion list. But my program now refuses to work. I'm going to try a re-install. It would have been nice to be asked if we want the file to be removed by avast before it blocks it.

Edit2:

I had to reinstall the program over itself and it kept the settings from before so all is good again now. But I'd still ask for the pop up to give us the option of saying the file is safe, especially when part of the 'false positive report' is we have to say that we trust it.
