Cannot connect to server
« on: March 17, 2015, 11:06:33 AM »
I'm on Mac OS X 10.7.5, just installed Avast Mac Security 2015 (ver. 10.8), signed up with an account, but when I click on the Account tab, the loading moving icon just keep saying it's loading. Been like this for over 3 minutes now. I'm not on Firewall, or VPN..

Will it be any setting issues that I'm no aware of?

Thanks for your kind attention in advance :)

Having the same issue, and avast will not update either. Yet when I log into my account online, it says everything is ok. But when i open the application on MAC it wont connect to update. It also says the program is not secured.

Yeah I have Little Snitch network monitor installed, however Avast has been set to allow any incoming / outgoing connection

One Japanese user reported the same issue.
Uninstall and reinstall does not solve the issue. VPS update is working fine though.

Follow-ups;

The issue reported by the Japanese user turned out to be caused by the Mac native firewall.
He/She had unchecked "Allow incoming connection for signed application automatically"; thus it blocked avast automatically.
Allowing incoming connection to "Avast Mac Security.app" resolves the issue.
