new release blocking web data

we have machines running winxp x64.  archaic, but there are still 20+ million users.  the latest update of avast antivirus is:
definitions: 151026-2
program:  10.4.2233

after this update avast av is now:
--blocking common safe websites, google, yahoo, etc. with certificate errors
--blocking file download from my safe ftp sites

i had to disable webshield entirely to get access again.  what happened to this release?

Disable HTTPS-Scanning in the web shield.

it helped with the websites however ftp was still blocked until i disabled webshield completely.

Strange as ftp shouldn't be being scanned (it certainly wasn't in the past) only http/https web traffic.
What avast version are you using, free/pro/AIS/Premium ?

Have or can you create a screenshot of this blocking instance ?
