Reinstalling Avast

I am having some issues with avast 2015 free and would like to reinstall, however the newer versions, since avast 5, were installed from the in-product updater over the old versions, so now there is alwil and avast folders all over the place.  Will avastclear.exe be able to remove all that so that a clean reinstall will work ok?

It should clear all but there maybe some folders left over in Program Data that can be removed manually, you could also run a system search for Avast and Alwil and delete anything found.
