Interesting aspects of webcheck.dll
« on: October 18, 2005, 01:18:36 AM »
Hi malware fighting folks,

An interesting link to read about the malware aspects of infected webcheck.dll, read: http://www.auditmypc.com/process/webcheck.asp, and here:
http://www.neuber.com/taskmanager/process/webcheck.dll.html
These sources of information are very valuable in forming the awareness and attitudes of anti-malware fighters, so webcheck.dll an sich is an okay process, but the replacements by malcreants are malware. So the problem starts when webcheck.dll is not there any longer.

Cybersecurity is more of an attitude than anything else. Avast Evangelists.

Use NoScript, a limited user account and a virtual machine and be safe(r)!
