Enabled Android "4.4 mode" , still seeing SMS commands on phones

I just placed a Galaxy S5 ( Verizon ) in service. Wife has a LG Envoy, both running Android 4.4 Kitkat. Tested the 'lock" command last night, keep getting message that I need to enable "Android 4.4 mode" which I have done on both. What to do next? Thanks.

Install the latest AMS version.
