Just wondering...is Avast a 'one-time' charge or is there going to be a yearly 'fee' like there is with McAfee and Norton??

Hi chuck59, welcome to the forum :)

You buy a licence for Avast Premier for one, two or three years, and for one or more systems.

Greetz, Red.
OS: Win 10 / iOS 17 / Debian 12 / Tails 5
Real Time: Avast Premium Security
On Demand: Malwarebytes
VPN: NordVPN ( NordLynx ) with Threat Protection ( Lite )

It is yearly, 2 years or 3 years depending on what you want/pay for.

Click on get it now and you can change the year(s) as well as the amount of systems to see the price for it.

Thanks all for the input.  Don't know why I couldn't pick up on that, but I'm old and stupid...lol  Will give the paid version some very serious consideration.  Have been using the 'free' version for about 10 years or so and am very happy with it...

Look for an option for automatic renewal when installing the licence.  If you don't want automatic renewal, untick the box.

If you've missed that option, see:  https://www.avast.com/faq.php?article=AVKB136
