Question about reset
« on: June 13, 2015, 05:17:56 AM »
Hello. I have bought the premium subscription but i'm not root on my device. I need to know what happends if someone steals my device and resets my phone to default factory settings. Would that fact uninstall my device protection? Is there a way to prevent that in the case i'm not a root user?
Thanks in advance.
Regards.

If you want protection against a factory reset, you will need to root the device.

Thanks for your answer. I have rooted my device. Will that option now avoid a hard reset?

No, but if you install the root version of avast a factory reset will not prevent avast from working.
So even after a factory reset you can still control/find the phone with the sms commands and through https://my.avast.com
