Avast blocking website, then does not give info
« on: July 14, 2015, 06:33:45 PM »
Avast blocked a website I went to visit, but stopped it with URL:Mal designation. I clicked for more info, but the only thing the program does is just sit and look as if it is finding the information to display. After 5 minutes, I still have the same screen. If there is no info to be had, shouldn't I be informed of that? I am running the most current version of Avast for Business, with updates, on Windows 8.1.

The website could be infected, legitimate websites get compromised often, and others inadvertently have ads with malicious scripts.

However you can check the site to get a second opinion by going to virus total.com and entering the URL for analysis
