Scan methods

Hey,

How can I set up Avast not to scan a certain folder at any time. For example say I have a game F.E.A.R. and I do not want Avast to scan that folder nor the contents of that folder so that I dont get any lags or slowdowns due to Avast scanning all the files being used. How do I go about doing such a thing? Thanks!!!

Click on the avast! tray icon to open the On-Access Scanner console. Switch to detailed view, if not already expanded, and select the Standard Shield provider. Click on "Customize" and put the folder into the list of exclusions (on the last page of the configuration) - e.g. as C:\fear\*
