Why doesn't Avast tray icon show activity when it updates?
« on: August 13, 2015, 07:36:33 AM »
It would be really nice if the Avast tray icon did something to indicate it was updating itself.

Not sure if they have a suggestion list for easy improvements but there you go.

Well avast has never used the try icon to indicate updating - it only rotates to indicate it is scanning something.

Previously there was a visual and audible (human voice) notification of an auto update notification.

But some fool thought that irrelevant and removed it, the thing that was unique amongst AVs and missed by many.
