« on: November 20, 2003, 03:50:29 PM »
Hi, sorry to bother you but my company needs a virus solution for tommorow :/

Got a few question about your product for the palm I hope you can answer.

1. is there a way I can get updates from a central location then copy them to our Extnd server which push's the files out?

2. If not is there an FTP server I can connect to to get the files from via a script?

3.Whats the price per license (I'm guessing we must have 100ish) but will be buying them as and when.

4.not many viruses for the palm will updates only be available when a palm update is realeased or are they updated when your other products are?

Thanks

Steve

Punch, to answer your questions:

1. + 2. Palm avast is not very advanced in terms of updating :-\ (in contrary to the Windows CE version, which has a very good updater). Simply said, it doesn't have any direct support for updating. To install an update, you have to download it from our web server to your PC, and install it using HotSync... Sorry. We might add an auto-updater to a future version, but it's not available at the moment.

3. Pricing - please refer to http://www.avast.com/i_idt_1426.html

4. Tungsten T3 -- I believe it should work, but the best is to try it yourself -- download the trial version from http://www.avast.com/i_idt_1432.html .

Hope this helps,
Vlk
