Paid License is not valid

I paid for a license... I downloaded it and installed it on hard drive and followed instructions to install it. Whether I doubleclick the icon or go through settings>subscription... I get the error message: there is not a valid license (my translation)... I downloaded a new license and get the same error message. What do I do to install the paid license?

Right-click your license file and select Properties.  What date do you get?  mm/day/year?
Where did you purchase license?
-What OS and SP?
-What program and version?
-Pro?
-AIS?
-Premier?
