My Avast Premier reports that "Firewall is turned off". When I hit "Turn on" it reports "Unable to start Firewall!"
I tried every single method I've found all over the internet and none of them worked.
Repairing the install.
Uninstall Avast and then use "Avast Clear" in safe mode to clear the install.
I even disabled Windows Firewall before reinstalling Avast Premier to make sure.
Upon reinstalling/repairing I'm greeted by the very same "Firewall is turned off" message and the problem persists.
Also, the driver for Avast Secureline refuses to install no matter what.
Help please? I have absolutely no other AV/Firewall software installed on my computer. If I knew this nightmare would happen I would never have update the software...
