Where do you actually get help?
« on: November 26, 2015, 04:12:44 PM »
I have purchased the Avast Anti-Virus program. I am registered. I have sent several messages for help through the interface of the program.

The problem...The program is not working (period). I was alerted to the problem with the iconic RED X. Clicked, my Avast alerts me that "I am unprotected". Avast background service is not running Firewall is down (Start Now). The Firewall is Off (Start Now) Resolve All button doesn't work (no response/no hover info) The Firewall "ON" button does not work. Firewall Off button does work with hover it asks how long I want the Firewall Off. To scan for Viruses I get the message "Unable start scan. There are no more endpoints available from endpoint mapper. I have tried to uninstall the program. I get the message " Instup.exe has a problem and needs to close". I have tried several "Restore Points" without any change. I have Window XP.  :-\

what AV did you use before installing avast?
Did you remove this before installing avast?
Did you remove it using that vendors removal tool?
