First time I've seen it scan for weak passwords.

Probably because you installed the Avast Passwords function, doing that will no doubt add it to the smart scan in the same way as the Network threats scan is when you have the Network Security function installed.

I haven't got the Avast Passwords or Network Security functions installed, so they aren't part of the smart scan.

I honestly have no idea what you did - I don't even know if you did a custom install, which I did. I didn't install the avast password function and it isn't listed in my smart scan. Attached custom install screen of my installation.

What I do know is that your image is within the avastUI, so avast password must be there somewhere or that screen couldn't be there. All your image shows is that you haven't activated it for password use in your browser. It doesn't mean it isn't installed.

I suggest that you check control panel > programs and features > avast antivirus > Change and ensure that it is uninstalled/removed.

Not Activating or Not Installing are two different things.
Those choices also affect how Avast utilizes various functions.
